Questions about the check

If we answer yes to everything, do we meet the law?

No checklist can tell you that. Only the SIA, the regulator, judges whether a venue meets the law. This check shows what's left to do, based on the Home Office's guidance.

Is anything I answer sent anywhere?

No. The check runs on this page, in your browser. Nothing is sent or stored, and it's gone when you close the page.

Why are the to-dos worded the way they are?

They're the same steps hailo's dashboard shows once you sign up, such as naming the responsible person and approving each procedure, so nothing on the list will be new to you.

Nothing is required yet. Why check now?

The duties are expected to start in spring 2027, and the Home Office encourages venues to start getting ready. Most of the list is about people knowing the plans, which takes a little time to arrange.
